How Industrial Protocol Translation Works
A protocol gateway sits between two communication systems, receives data in one protocol, maps it internally, and re-presents it in the protocol the destination system understands; a legacy Modbus RTU device, for example, can be converted to Modbus TCP so a modern SCADA platform can read it, without rewiring or controller replacement.
